Hello Classmates, my name is Belén Arancibia and in my first blog I´m going to share more about myself.

I was born and raise in Punta Arenas, Chile. In this city I lived with my parents, my twin sister Rocio, my eldest sister Camila and my eldest brother Sebastian, with this two we have some years apart, but we´re a very close family.

All my school years were in The British School, my elementary and high school. This twelve years the system of my school changed, at the begginig we had the traditional system, we had all the principal subject, quizzes every week and the final tests each month. But when I was in 7th grade my High School changed to the IB system, The International Baccalaureate, this program change everything , the way to teach the students, how we as a student have to be (the student profile), we finish testing and start with very extensive written works, oral presentations, historical researches, and community hours. All this activities were include in this system, a system that let us be more free, but we demanded very hard work.

At the middle of 2013 I started leaving in United States, studying english for one year. I travel in an exchange program, so I stayed with a host family. The first four month I lived in CA, studying in La Quinta High School, then I moved to Wisconsin staying six month, in this state I studied in N.E.W Lutheran High School. This full year was a very good and fun experience for me, but I really misses my family and culture.

Now I´m living in Santiago with Rocio, and this is our first year leaving both of us alone, but we think that it´s going to be a very good experience. This year I start studying to be an english teacher in UNAB, and my expectations are focus on learning as much as I can and do my best.
